Unbelievable. Just like public transport, nothing for days then suddenly two at once. Posting frequency should pick up again soon, which is good or bad news depending on your opinion of the site. But basically it's good news for me because it means I'll be driving regularly again- I'm back in work. Holiday over, just in time for Christmas.

The new route will see me on the A614, A6097 and A52 heading for Ruddington via Gunthorpe, RAF Newton and Ratcliffe on Trent. The section around RAF Newton is a glorious piece of tarmac, some sweeping curves, some tight curves and a nice acceleration zone. There's even a hairpin, and a pseudo-jump in it. Certainly the car goes light so it's important to have the wheels pointing the right way when that happens... Shame about the roadworks on that stretch at the moment, but they won't last for ever.

So keep your eyes peeled (always thought that was a strange expression, wouldn't it hurt?) because even though I'm not on a motorway I'm sure there will be updates. Besides, I have a weekend in Wales due in a couple of weeks and if that round trip doesn't generate something I'll be amazed.
